GIS in Social Sciences

GIS in Social Sciences  is an introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with an emphasis on its applications in the Social Sciences, including census data, demographic analysis, social justice and related mapping of social phenomena.

This map displays the results of the 2016 presidential election by Spokane County voting precincts. There are two maps included with one showing the winning candidate within the voting precinct and the other showing the margin of victory in the given voting precinct.

This map displays the median household income by Washington State county. The data for this map was collected from the U.S. Census Bureau at the county level. This information shows what counties in Washington tend to have higher incomes.
